Here are the answers to yesterday's questions!

CCNA Certification And CCENT Certification:

You want to configure a Cisco 2950 switch to cut the time it retains a dynamically learned MAC address by half. What is the full command to do so?

Answer:  Use the mac-address-table aging-time command.  Since the default is 300 seconds, the full command is mac-address-table aging-time 150.  Always use IOS Help to check time-related commands - some use seconds, some use minutes, some use hours!

CCNA Security Certification / CCNP ISCW Exam:

Which of the following does not use encryption?

A. SSH

B. SSL

C. NTP v 3

D. Telnet

E. SMTP v 3

Answer:  D.  The other four all use encryption in some form.

CCNP Certification / BSCI Exam:

By default, what code(s) indicate an OSPF route that was learned via route redistribution? (No peeking at a routing table!)

Answer:  That default code is O E2.

CCNP Certification / BCMSN Exam:

After configuring an Etherchannel, you note some of the ports are in err-disabled state. What's the first thing you should in an attempt to resolve this issue?

Answer:  Shut and reopen the err-disabled interfaces.  If the configuration is correct, that will resolve the issue.

CCNP / ONT Exam:

If all three of the most significant bits of the DSCP are set to zero, what PHB is in use?

Answer: Default PHB is in use when the three most significant bits of the DSCP are all set to zero.   As the name suggests, this PHB is assigned to any unmarked traffic and is basically "best-effort" service.

That's it for today!   Be sure to take advantage of those practice exam and tutorial links in today's edition, and I'll see you Friday!
